Mr.Dhillon was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, VA and now calls Mt. Vernon, Baltimore home.  Since the last Mayoral election no current Candidate for Mayor has done and or offered to do as much for the great people of the City than Kahan Dhillon.  Below is a brief biography with background about a man whose love for Charm City has no bounds and has become the foundation for his historic run for Mayor of Baltimore City in 2020.  The City has never in its modern history had a true outsider run for Mayor until now.  Now the people of Baltimore City for the first time will have the ability to elect someone who will stand up to the status quo in a way unheard of in a City of insiders who have only permeated the current Baltimore Way.  Mr. Dhillon believes strongly that the current insider ways and means don’t work for the many but only the few.  Hence decade after decade the City continues to fail and fall deeper and deeper into its own abyss.  Well no more.  Mr. Dhillon shall create more for Baltimore beginning by getting the people of the City to stop accepting less and Expect More.

In 2003, Mr. Dhillon formed Regent Company, LLC a diversified Real Estate Investment Firm which achieved multi-million dollar revenues in only its first year and half of existence. The company is comprised of 5 business units. In 2005, the firm was named the top “Small Business of the Year” by the Mount-Vernon Lee Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Dhillon, 39, has developed and or planned billions of dollars of development in the real estate arena. His expertise and skill bring people together to achieve collaborative consensus based real estate development. Mr. Dhillon’s experience in bringing together diverse groups with a common goal is unrivaled, and has been sought out by community groups and public jurisdictions alike.

Mr. Dhillon has always had a strong personal commitment to giving back, and positively impacting his community. This commitment to others started very early in Mr Dhillon’s life. This was experienced significantly by him while serving in the US house and senate as one the youngest interns in congressional history. He serves on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of both for, and non-profit, organizations. Examples of both, include being an active member of Kiwanis, a worldwide organization that focuses on aiding the children of the world. He was the past President of the Kiwanis Mt. Vernon Chapter and is a current member of Canton-Fells Point Chapter. Mr. Dhillon also is a member of FVC Bank, a fast-growing regional bank which just recently opened its first Baltimore Branch. For Mr. Dhillon one of his greatest passion’s lies in his fervent belief that “our children are our future”. He works on boards and organizations, both at the local and state level who focus on youth and their development. Former NFL star Santana Moss and Mr. Dhillon along with the Principal of Mt. Vernon High School, created a unique program for at risk students called Santana’s 30/30 Club. The 30/30 Club combines academic achievement, citizenship, and mentorship into one programmatic vehicle that has produced tremendous results. In 2009, The Fairfax County Public schools honored Mr. Moss an Mr. Dhillon with a prestigious Blue-Ribbon Award. Also in 2009, Mr. Dhillon’s work with youth led to Former Governor (and later Hillary Clinton’s running mate) Timothy M. Kaine appointing him to the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Board of Juvenile Justice.

For his commitment to the community and his service, both houses of the Commonwealth of Virginia Assembly commended Mr. Dhillon in a Joint Resolution.

Mr. Dhillon attributes his accomplishments to God, his family, and those special individuals in his life that have always stood by him.

When the City was crippled by a severe ransomware attack last year, Mr. Dhillon stepped forward and offered Mayor Jack Young and President of the City Council Brandon Scott free assistance directly by a public Facebook post. Dhillon pledge to restore the the city IT systems. As a show of the severe polarized “Politics First” system which exists in the City, he never even received a response to his generous offer. When the City couldn’t provide Poe Homes running water last year for weeks in the dead heat of summer Mr. Dhillon personally offered to repair the issue at no charge, but yet again received no response from Elected Officials. Teachers Union Fan Drive

In response to the Baltimore Teachers Union (BTU) public plea for 500 Fans at the beginning of the School year. Mr. Dhillon personally donated 400 plus fans and delivered them to over 10 schools in a single day. The schools and students needed the fans because of a lack of centralized HVAC in the buildings. Dhillon For Mayor (DFM) COVID-19 Response Initiative

Responding to the historic Pandemic that has affected us all tremendously Mr. Dhillon and his Campaign Team are responding with their Dhillon For Mayor (DFM) COVID-19 Response Plan.  This is the largest giving back COVID-19 response Plan being executed currently by any Mayoral Candidate or their Campaign.

15,000 Masks – Being donated to the State of Maryland earmarked for Baltimore City Hospitals & First Responders.

1,500 Care Packages – Being donated to one of our most needed populations in the City, our Seniors.  These Care Packages for Seniors include masks, hand sanitizer, toilet paper, & much more.

14 Food Drives – Once the Stay At Home order is lifted in Baltimore City the Campaign will host 1 Food Drive in each District through the City.
